One of the major differences between using Chrome and Firefox is the way data is synced via your account. Chrome has the benefit of the Google backend, which helped kick-start the account syncing early on in its life cycle. Mozilla have added some sync features to Firefox, however it’s never quite been the same.
Today, Mozilla have announced upgrades to accounts that makes it easier to link together devices and systems with Mozilla products. These will allow you to sync passwords, bookmarks, history and open tabs while still enjoying it all being encrypted.
Firefox Aurora users can get their hands on the upgraded system now, and it will shortly be making its way to the mainline Firefox releases.
